That's true, and of course the trend/black line wasn't as strong as September 01 and now, maybe that's the difference. Which is why TA is a scientific art, or an artistic science (but not an exact science).

Another difference we want to be mindful of: July 2002 is not a panic meltdown on top of a weak economy, it's a slow, ratchet down, slo mo train crash.

The variables keep changing all the time, don't they?
