Hi Carolyn,

When I had my procedure performed they were working on lasik surgery for farsightedness. They had not come up with a Federally approved method yet. I would call a local company and inquire if I were you. I was told that correcting the kind of farsightedness that comes with old age(I forget the medical term they used for this condition)wasn't correctable at that time, but who knows? With the advancements in modern medicine anything is possible.

Good luck

M
