Uncle Frank or anyone with LEAP advice,

I know this is a covered call thread and I have done some in the past. My question is, with the market at or near the bottom (I say that every week...lol) why wouldn't leaps out to 2004 and 2005 be a good investment. You would think that if you locked in some good prices now, the recovery should happen by then. What usually happens is the institutional investors will start the turn around and we the small investor get in a few months later. I thought by getting some Leaps now, I could get in before they make their move.

Would appreciate any thoughts on Leaps pro or con.
