I couldn't agree more. But when one discerns the way the 'enemy' deploys his troops, he is in a position to profit from the fray however momentarily.

hi chaz,

Qualcomm finished at $29.99 so anyone who held options with a price for $30 was cut off at the knees.

anyone who held 30-strike calls was speculating and deserves what the markets gave them. and if they didn't know that round number strikes are a magnet on expiration day, perhaps they should paper-trade for a while.
fortunately, you're not one of those speculators (or you'd have known that QCOM was obviously going to close at 29.99-30 today and would have regarded it as the nature of the beast rather than something to get upset about.)

best...

gdichaz,
sorry but I don't understand why you're so pissed... QCOM moved from 25s to 30s (about 20% gain for those who're counting <g>), making higher strike premiums higher, covered call writers escaped, call buyers had their chances of selling their calls for profit within last 3 days...

On the wider scale QCOM's price base in the mid 20s gets stronger and stronger...
