Something new and overwhelming? In a word, no.

Mutual fund cash build-up for ANTICIPATED withdrawals? Most likely. And THAT is sideline money. The small investor is not running. Not now, when he was expected to, nor before, when the "experts" arrogantly predicted he would. He has a lot more character than the typical pants-peeing money manager. Watch ETFs. They may just drive the mutual fund business crazy over the next several years. Firing the "expert" is a more attractive option than cashing out...
