No rocket science here Sam, I simply thought we were approaching a general market bottom when we began to test the September lows and thus it was time to begin getting a bit more aggressive. As for the large cap, well I'm tryin' to couple the class with value, and if ya want to also include some yield in the formula (as I do), large cap is where one pretty much has to look. As for INTC vs AMAT, I have 1500 shares of INTC in this particular account and continue to hold 5000 shares of AMAT averaged at $20.80 elsewhere: I guess I should point out that I'm assembling this particular group of stocks to balance out my overall allocation mix which was heavily weighted in bonds, but has always included individual stocks, funds and various other investments. I've chosen to track these new purchases as a group in order to gauge the impact of the changes I've made. Purposely avoiding getting into the details and specifics of all long term investments combined, I'll simply say that I have been and will remain very conservative. This is long term stuff intended for secure retirement and the future of my family while the crazy trading I do is limited to money I can afford to lose without impacting those goals. AdvocateDevil
