BTW: I am not being at all critical of the US military, just using them as a point of reference.

As a US taxpayer, I am indeed critical of the US military for killing innocent civilians in Afghanistan A similar incident transpired earlier some 3 months ago. And then we had the incident with the Canadians. It seems that the US soldiers in Afghanistan are on edge even though the danger of war has abated with the Taliban having receded into Pakistan. I am sure the US military top brass is hard at work to set in place policies and procedures to avoid recurrence of such incidents. This can only happen if the US society allows it citizens to criticize, and the authorities also accept their guilt. But to say why others are not ding something which I am being asked to do is a display or persecution complex. We need to look ahead and move forward and make thing better. IMO.
