<<So..calling a top in April was a good call...now let's see you call the bottom <GGG>>>

Actually, when I called the top in 2000, I was calling the top of that particular rally. It was around the summer of that year that I turned into a full fledged bear on Nasdaq.

I started reading various articles on the bearish point in the summer of 2000, and by August I had turned into a full fledged bear on US equities. I too credit bambs for helping to clear up the picture. I also thank the many wannabe investors who came on the Cisco thread to insult my bearish position with nothing but useless drivel. Many of those people are on ignore now and hopefully broke.

I started looking into precious metal investments at that time as well, finally taking the plunge in Spring 2001...1/2 long portfolio 1/2 trading. That portfolio is up around 100% now.

As far as calling a bottom. I don't plan to do that because I think there will be plenty of do-nothing time at the true bottom to figure out whether stocks are cheap or not and future prospects look good or worse.

Unfortunately, that time is definitely not the present.
