Sounds to me like at the very least mansaughter, and quite possibly 2nd degree murder. And he walked because of his family's connections and influence.

Did you say something abut Bush?

And you might argue "Well, Bush is the President now, not Kennedy." Well, Kennedy is the Senator now, not Bush.

And in answer to "That was 33 years ago", well, Bush's transgressions (if such they be) were 10 years ago.
