You are right, Amarula or Marula Fruit Cream made from the Marula or Elephant tree is one of the best out there. I always stock up at the JHB airport on my way back to the US. I just served some to guests on Thursday evening, it always gets interest and compliments. It is one of the few trees that does not get chopped down when locals clear bush for cash crops.

It depends on the pilots, I often get an Afrikaans pilot, there is one particular long winded Boertjie who rattles on about everything from weather to fuel consumption. And yes, it is one of seven official languages.

Hope you get a chance to visit S.A. proper, it is one of the most beautiful countries. Everyone is welcome in the Rainbow country.

Alles van die beste.
