I am completely aware of the political problems of the past. But there was no correlation between Nixon/Bush Sr./North/LBJ and their lies/corruption and the conscience of the American people. As Clinton went about his activities, and appeared on MTV talking about his underwear, and appeared on late-night TV with a saxaphone, etc, etc, etc., AND directed Greenspan and others to make certain the TOP priority was the IMMEDIATE "wealth effect", the ATTITUDE of the nation changed. If you did not see it happening, and certainly in retrospect, if you cannot see what happened, then I suppose we have to just agree to disagree. But it did happen. And this kind of major shift in the thinking and actions of an entire people always produces tragic results. I remain, SOROS
