i did read that it was someone else's post but if you quote something you ought to have some idea of its accuracy, it only took a quick random sample to see that the data is not accurate

again i disagree on "this garbage"....there is a significant number of quality companies represented there, as in any index there are the better and the worse

it will be interesting to see how things turn out compared to current estimates, certainly many may come down, analysts dont have the greatest credibility at this point especially after reg FD...ironically the only stock i see in the list that i own is CSCO and it is one of my smallest positions, most of my holdings have PE's of less than 15, a lot of them less than 10 though that certainly didn't help many of them this past week <g>

clearly we disagree on the outlook going forward, one thing i do agree on is stock options, i read an article recently suggesting that options for company personnel be banned and companies go back to awarding bonuses to CEO's etc for good performance rather than loading them up with options....probably not going to happen anytime soon but it would be a considerable improvement
