I do have Adobe Acrobat 4.0 and a fast modem, though not a cable modem. Perhaps I will check the site again someday.

Remember the scientific method requires that you objectively test a hypothesis to prove or disprove it. You don't care which.

I've checked the web site and it works fine for me. I've checked it every time it hasn't worked for Dave, and it works just fine.

Your working hypothesis was that there was some 'technical problem'. That's been tested and shown likely to be false. There must be some other explanation.
