Yes, notice that the Israeli mainstream position is about on par with the Palestinian extremists. Meanwhile, the Palestinian mainstream is about on par with the Israeli extreme left-wing. As long as the PA has no peace partner in Israel, there is little hope for peace.

As for your opinions on the history of Indians and African Americans, I prefer to leave this subject for another time and concentrate on the most important issue facing American foreign policy today--the Palestinian-Israeli conflict!

We cannot continue to see events in isolation and base a foreign policy based on individual events. If we do so then it is not a foreign policy. I am saying that the Palestenian leaders need to take their cue from the Indian and African American movements. Similarly, the current US Administration needs to approach the Palestenian/Israeli issue in a balanced and neutral manner similar to what they di in the case of the Indo/Pakistani issue.
