"Once In Lifetime "

cdsampler.com

Always loved that intro , a certain beauty and relentless chant-like raw~irreverence at the sad state of material affairs' endless messy chases... yet all the way thru the song the repeat chorus , just tinkling in the background of that simplest & purest elements of life , pure & always there flowing just beneath the surface that can take you back " into the blue again "

And you may ask yourself
What is that beautiful house?
And you may ask yourself
Where does that highway go?
And you may ask yourself
Am I right?...Am I wrong?
And you may tell yourself
MY GOD!...WHAT HAVE I DONE?

Letting the days go by/let the water hold me down
Letting the days go by/water flowing underground
Into the blue again/in the silent water
Under the rocks and stones/there is water underground.

Once in a lifetime, the water flowing underground.

* I'm sure it's been used in some movie soundtracks , just can't remember which . We could build a waterfall in the desert ?

;-)
