Oregon was beautiful - perfect climate and beautiful scenery. (Snowshoe - I met an Alaskan at the motel I was staying at who complained that the weather was hot :) Even coming from the Canberra mid-winter it didn't seem hot). Here in Troy where I've been a week is hot and humid and in the future the cold winter looms. Last year was a record mild winter with only 27" of snow in all I am told. My air freight arrived today, now all I need is a computer on my desk (on order) and some more furniture in my apartment (on the Hudson waterfront in the so-called antiques district - the nicest street in downtown Troy - which isn't saying much :)). I guess I will drop in here occasionally... when work load permits. David
