thecow, packet loss: I have a program called TJping to do that. But if I ping SI or Yahoo, I don't know what caused the packet loss. There are many hops.

The AT&T technician on the phone pinged MY PC and saw packet loss. If that was one hop, then it must have been due to something wrong with my PC or the cable, I think.

There is also a dos command in windows called tracert which will show you more complete information.

type: tracert siliconinvestor.com etc.
