Your argument was that because those words had been in the Pledge for 50 years, that was sufficient reason not to remove them. If the length of time a situation has existed is an argument against changing it, then the argument for retaining slavery was 4 or 5 times as good.

Want my real vies in the matter?

I don't think removing the words is worth the divisiveness the argument about doing so will cause or the impetus that will be given to the Religious Right if they are removed.

And I think the crazed jerk that brought the suit should have been cuffed and led off to the nuthouse for his and everyone else's good.

Some people should be allowed in public places without adult supervision.
