Thanks
will attempt to read through them
Just got back from whitewater rafting on the American river. It was fantastic. Hot weather, and cold water. Class 1,2,3 rapids- so nothing too scary for the kids. Some of the other boats lost people from time to time, but we never bounced anyone out of ours.

The kids all want to do it again. So that is a good sign. I think next time we'll stay at a B&B though, my back is not happy after sleeping on the ground for two nights. And I had the good ground pad.

We got some amazing pictures of the family. The photo businesses in the area set up their cameras on either side of the big rapids, and they take pictures as you come down them. Our family took up almost a whole boat, including the guide, so I think one of these pictures may just be the family seasonal greetings card shot.

It was just a beautiful trip. We saw all kinds of wildlife, and gorgeous vegetation, all from the quiet of the river (although the rapids were a bit noisy).

We even got to swim some rapids. That was really fun.

Now am washing mountain of laundry. Everything got dirty, even the stuff we didn't wear. There is fine silt over everything.
