I surmise it's because there is so much liberalism in the press, people are starving for anything conservative. That also explains why Bill O'Reilly and Rush Limbaugh are two very popular figures in the conservative media.

I'm not so sure. I think it is less about conservatism and more about truth. People are starved for truth in politics, and her book, hard-hitting though it may be, is verifiably true. While there will be attacked (as by Salon), I believe people are frustrated with the constant deception used by the Democrats.

I can't account for O'Reilly's popularity. I find him to be largely annoying and unfair (although equally on both sides). He has his point to make, and sometimes he simply tries to drown out the other side by speaking more loudly.

Limbaugh is a different matter. His success is obviously because of his extraordinary ability to draw information from the callers and to present his position in clear terms. His ability to articulate facts is surpassed only by his ability (or that of his staff) to do the research. I would hate to see a day where the liberals found as clear a voice as Limbaugh's. Limbaugh is a voice of truth in what would otherwise be a sea of liberal lies.

I'm sorry but when has a sensationalistic, trashy, incorrigible, attractive woman not sold books?

Or it could be that a middle-aged blonde (who admittedly looks pretty good in a tank top) is shattering the stereotype of conservatives as white male chauvenists.

And don't forget, she probably has a very strong faith in Christ too!

Have a good one!
