New companies always face problems when market power becomes an issue. Great hopes are quickly turned into modest expectations and quick exits. Perhaps paypal was lucky that is was not cheaper for ebay to just put them out of business.

Lizzie, had I been a shareholder of paypal, I wouldn't be pleased at all with the buyout terms.

They stink. And i doubt it had anything to do with perceived negotiating prowess of M. Whitman.
