Posed a similar queston over at IHUB and got no reply.

Heard someone suggest to put in low bids to catch stocks. For core stocks would you recommend this strategy. To me it would seem silly to buy mrk today at 42 with a 5% stop. Would rather put in an order at 37 and view it as a stock to hold for the summer rally. Or buy it at 45, after we have more than a one day rally. Mike
