Moneymade,
Food for thought (although evidence suggests that you may not be hungry as you don't seem to think much...)
Before you conclude that all of the evidence has been presented for your evaluation, think again. It is quite possible there is much more information that is not available to the public which could be keeping Amr behind bars.
In fact, there is much more than $17K in funds at issue. And the confiscation of his expensive home, 5 cars and bank accounts is a tool to prevent him from absconding.
You are either terminally naive or you don't know any better than to seize on a snippet of information and ignore all the other facts (as well as the possibility that there is more you don't know) before you come to a conclusion. Both conditions can get you into a real mess.

How much was his gain from the $17k information? And you
call me a knucklehead? Right.
