Scott, the real enemy is the news articles that you keep reposting. Raw "news" is like raw sewage, it poisons minds the way toxic waste kills fish.

Maybe if you could quote the section of them that interests you that would help. Most of the time I can't tell if you are agreeing or disagreeing. If I wanted to read the garbage spewed by the mainstream media, I would subscribe to a newspaper and sit in front of my TV all day, drooling.

Posting excerpts is more polite, it gives less of a voice to mainstream media, and its fair use.

Stockman: my point was that if you were concerned about financial accountability why not aim your energy at the books that our Gov't keeps. Does it really make sense to insist on investigating LEGAL financial maneuvers when investors can and should conduct their own due deligence, when the same people you want to do the investigating are commiting illegal maneuvers to diguise trillions of unfunded liabilities so they can claim the USA has earnings i.e. a surplus.

you can go on about Harken and Haliburton all you want but nothing was illegal. Do you really expect an investigation to disclose a secret memo from Cheney that says lets screw the shareholder so I can get a big in-the-money stock grant. All Cheney has to do is show the Judge SEC filings with footnotes to the questionable revenue source and the case is closed. And at Harken GeeW! filed months in advance the sale. Do you want years in advance filing? How about a random date sale?Do you want no sales by execs? Should execs be required to take a loss?

By the way, I am getting pissed at this Admin for a host of reasons too but it stems from a moral basis and not a witch hunt mentality.
