From virtuous circle to vicious spiral!

I wonder how long it will be before Verizon announces the first of many capex reductions? Further, what areas might see spending cuts? Easy to see that data upgrades to wireless phone service is an obvious target, given its unproven and inherently speculative nature. Nobody ever lost their job cutting the most expensive, riskiest and least proven projects...
