GLB may or may not be a good short term investment.
It should be a decent long term investment unless they have to cut the dividend. The FFO was the same in 2001 as 1999. If they didn't do well during decent years, they may drop some FFO during a difficult economic environment. There are better REITs, but their price alone is attractive. I'd prefer the convertible preferred.

BED is still expensive relative to other REITs, but long term attractive. I like their FFO growth from 1.85 to 2.76 from 1998 to 2001 with stock buybacks. So, I like the management. Short term, I have no idea which direction things are going.
