Gold return during past 50 years, 0.141% annually. LMAO!

This was in this Sunday's newspaper article. By Diana McCabe (knight ridder newspapers). She wrote:

"in the past 50 years gold returned an average of 0.141 percent annually, data from American Strategic Capital show. In those same periods high grade corporate bonds returned an average 3.529 percent, T-bills 1.446 percent and the S&P 500 9.462 percent."
