The Financial Accounting Standards Board's new leader, Robert Herz, hails from Price Waterhouse — the only major accounting firm that favored expensing stock options several years ago. And the FASB itself recommended in 1993 that options should be expensed. So, new FASB regulations, especially on expensing options, should probably happen.
