I agree with you 100%, but regardless of fault the messenger of bad news is always at a disadvantage. It will hurt Bush if it takes too long for the economy to turn around. I worried about this before the election and was afraid the presidency was political suicide in 2000. I have been impressed and amazed though at how resilient the economy has been in spite of the stock bubble and 911 combined.
