You are confusing my statement, which includes the computer industry as a whole, with AMD's specific situation. Yes, AMD tried to suggest that many of the computers that shipped over the quarter did not include CPUs that they sold that quarter (i.e. the CPUs were from channel inventory). Yet, at the same time, AMD's executive staff was whining that this may not be enough. It was almost as if they were accusing Intel of stuffing the very same channel that they endeavored to empty. Tough luck, if true.
