Re <<It strikes me that the markets need some kind of intervention to stop this decline. >>
I see what I can do. :)

Today I bought the close big time. No AMD or INTC however. Got me some FLEX, hope they will deliver tomorrow. First time long in a meaningful way in a looooong time. This leg of down draft is over! At least that is what I think. <gg>

Man, I hope you are right. I got lulled into a false security the last month, and lost a third of my portfolio in the past three days. This market is very sick.

But you usually call them well and I have some cash sitting on the sidelines waiting to go in. Why FLEX? I was looking at it as well as SANM, MCDTA, WDC and CHPC. I want stocks that will crank it and make me some nice returns in a short period of time. Then I will short them on the way back down. I need to make some $$$ on this rally.

Agreed...The Naz is poised to bounce off that longterm support line at 1280 to 1300...and now TXN, always an early bird, has posted relatively strong earnings for this quarter and, more importantly doubled earnings from a year ago and the CEO is most willing to sign off their financial statements on Aug. 14...It's time for an upswing...(Like you, I've stayed away from INTC and AMD, but have been accumulating RMTR as I like their revenue growth rate, their chart and their proximity to TXN R&D...RMTR reports Thurs...Sure like to see it pop thru that $2.75 upper boundary!!!)
