ONE OF ADI DA'S FAVORITE STORIES:

For some reason I thought you might like this story, told by Adi Da, which he thought he first saw in a comic book, when he was a kid.

Donald Duck is driving, at high speed, into a country area, for an appointment somebody has set up for him with somebody by the name of William T. Brown, who lives in an area that Donald doesn't know, so he stops and asks a guy at the side of the road:

"Do you know where I can find a guy by the name of William T. Brown?", he says.

To his surprise, the man says, "as a matter of fact, yes, and there are two ways to get there....."

Donald says, "OK, how?"

The man says "go straight ahead till you get to the stop
street. Turn left and go five miles till you see the flashing light. Then turn right on highway 69 16.3 miles till you get to Centralia. Turn right at the only stop light in town. It's exactly 9.7 miles till you see a blacksmith shop on the left. Turn right there and go straight ahead till you see a large white house on the left.

Do you want to know the second route?"

"Nah" says Donald, "that's enough for me", and drives off.

Two exhausting hours later, Donald drives up from the opposite direction and sees the SAME man on the road, and realizes he has doubled back to where he began. He stops and says: "what's the SECOND route.....?"

"Say hello to Billy Brown" the man replies!

Namaste!

Jim

yah X , i agree with you .

.. it's really a complex & original little film , about how tethered by the fates and demons of our own making , so many lines of wrong thinking and insensitivity we label and saddle ourselves with ...and teach our children ...

...of the necessity for breaking free , discovering new timelines besides what we have become ensnared in ..and choosing a different path maybe thru this dream of mortality ...

a road less traveled by ?

And the choices our truer authentic self might make
in the life , in that small day we live,
sanely or insanely
dedlude or not ,
between birth and death...

Out there...

..somewhere on the horizon in that promised-land of
middle-class American suburbia ..

;-)

PS: Rented " Devil's Backbone" too, and also found it extremely well done .
A real superb "ghost-story" set in spain, wickedness coming from out of one who has become so "dead" inside, just tears everything apart and leaves a trail of tears wherever he goes , trapped in his own hell, the young Prince without a Kingdom, he destroys everything with malice and no capacity for love or compassion, a tyrant and destroyer of hope, and so lost ...such harsh inhuman times then . The Ghost effects were so real , and the poetry of the Doctor was so
deeply felt ...on the edges of life , he remembers in the end how much he loves .
Very very nicely done movie..
