I actually agree 1000% with your thesis. Wait for bounce and short consumer and credit. MBI,FNM,C,GM,POF,ACF,JPM etc. I too am hoping for a good retrace to da neck on S&P

FNM Fannie Mae CFO recommends expensing stock options (67.35 +0.35)
CFO announced he will recommend to FNM's Board of Directors that the co begin expensing all stock-based compensation in the next grant cycle; co had announced on June 18 that if FNM had recorded compensation expense for all options granted, it would have had only a modest impact on prior years, reducing 2001 EPS by $0.10 to $5.62 and 2000 by $0.14 to $4.15.
