Hi Frank,

I am not surprized by the fact that a lot of kimberlitic material and rocks found up to now in the Otish area by PUG, ACA, DIT have a deep-seated facies: intrusive breccias, hypabyssal textures, .....

It confirms my theory that these kimberlite fields are very old, deep seated and strongly eroded.

By the way, someone has updated the real age of these kimberlites?

Is it still 1,1 billion years, as suggested by the last study (MB 2001-08) published by the Ministry of Natural Resources?

Why has nobody made a precise age determination yet?
