thanks scott, sometimes I do read the GG thread because there are some software R&D people there. They get into more details than I am interested in, however. I know the issue they are discussing now, which is who will dominate the enterprise software space - the C/S vendors sebl,psft who hold the data or the new players... analytics people etc. who do collaboration. I just don't think this kind of stuff is going to show up in the numbers for a while so I don't care. For now Siebel owns things and thats it. BTW I was thinking software had bottomed and apps look pretty close to it- but BEAS is falling apart today - down 15% earlier. L
