I am glad you said BUSH tax cut.. I am very proud of it, and hope to benefit more in the future from further cuts, once the war is over.

re:"Lots of people warned"
Sometimes life forces people to make difficult decisions. Would you rather have a "balanced" budget and a very deep recession (possibly depression); or a tax cut which bolstered consumer spending - avoiding a deep recession, but resulting in a budget deficit?

Maybe pigs will learn to fly and we, the taxpayers, will finally get *REAL* tax reform, sweeping away tons of special interest loopholes and preferences, corporate welfare and big 'bidness' subsidies that keep the economic playing field tilted in favor of the undeserving and the un-needy.

We now have the MOST COMPLEX TAX CODE in the world, and compliance costs alone run to hundreds of billions of dollars a year.

Even Russia managed to wipe out their old tax code and bring in a flat 13% tax....

But don't hold your breathe for anything more than the shell games we've become used to.
