Stockman: when did Rubin parachute away from BC to take over what is now Citi? I want to say mid second term which would make him appear very knowledgeable about any Enron shenanigans. Its going to get interesting. Whats also significant about Rubin during his first year at Treas was to shift our long term debt to short rates. It was the ballsiest move ever. Cut 200B annual interest from budget. We might be seeing the ill effects of that maneuver depending on how exposed our debt is to short rates.
