Actually yes and no. The Carter Stagflation was in part caused by the Nixon Resignation and Fords policies of holding the line on Inflation through WIN. The Stagflation was also a result of Jimmy's ability to lead the nation, yet not getting enough support from Ted and the boys in Congress. Remember Ted challenged Jimmy in the 80 Primary. I was still working for Carter in Illinois and Iowa at the time with the Democrats. But in essence the Reagan revolution did happen during the Clinton years from the steps that were emplemented during the Reagan / Bush years. Even Clinton recognized this when he decided to run. Remember Clinton's speech for Dukakis. Bill got all but boo'd off the stage. Then 4 years later he run's and win's the White House. GO Figure.
