Ethan,

Agreed on the value of stock options to companies.

The problem is that the current situation leads to inadequate disclosure and confused accounting. I believe that all information inefficiencies are bad for all participants in a market.

I am confused and bored with the issue so I have nothing further to add.

It's not like a law firm where you can just stick it to clients in order to pay your employees.

At least law firms provide the stickies with clear statements detailing the sticking while they are doing it, whereas most public companies provide the stickies with misleading statements cleverly designed to cover up the sticking while they are doing it.
