Re: AMAT. The stock now sits on the 5 year linear uptrend and is just slightly through the 10 year log uptrend. Like the SOX it can't take much more deterioration. Since May and thus during the slide money flow has been strongly in across the board although block buying has been especially impressive. Once the stock passed through 20 net buying slowed, but not by much. This pattern of strong buying attended by rapidly declining price isn't unusual over several days time frame, but over months? Anomalous and unprecedented, and representative of what has occurred in many stocks. One has to wonder what all those who bought above will do if these stocks go down further.
