Jacob,
I am exactly in sync with your thinking. And if we ever see those numbers i think i will be leaving this arena, and continue to work hard for another bunch of years and preserve the capital i have left. As i write i can feel the chest pains--i get them all the time. But its getting harder to take. Sadness has replaced anger. I hope tomorrow will be the day. I cant fucking imagine another down day. The only other trading period like this must have been during the depression where there were no rallies for what seems like an eternity. Pardon the profanity. I think we all wanted to use the F word today. mike

Jacob,

A distant early warning signal. The canandian economy, which has been hot so far this year, has some initial data showing a consummer retrenchment. The CDN$ has been getting slaughtered the last 2 days. The 'Canadian Fed' has raised interest rates twice in the past four months and may have hit the brakes too hard. Now we have higher rates and a lower currency. As Orwell might say, ungood.
