I presume you've opted out of the interest rate holiday program for the term rate deal on those COF type cards, otherwise you're exposed when the rates zoom.

Even if you've moved to the fixed rates, I wouldn't bet the farm they won't pull your lines one day in the name of some emergency, or have the Fed do it for them a la Resolution Trust. As long as you're not into the lines, no biggie, but I wouldn't put too much faith in those shylocks to keep their end of the deal - JMHO

Nice plan...I like the Home Equity line of credit idea, plus, you can use the "excess liquidity" so created to jack up yer margin to short more FNM!<VBG> And of course, stealing from the credit card thugs is morally uplifting in a Robin Hood-ish sort of way...<G>
