Would it make you happy, and would you go panhandle the next guy and leave me alone, if I cease to claim it?

Skeeter:

As I said in my previous posts BGR has some wishful thinking return calculations for his portfolio that he quotes here. Initially he was extolling the virtues of his passive DCA strategy and called into question my DCA performance chart and Alan Newman's chart at Cross Currents.

Finally he asked me to let go as he thought his 13 % came from a 10% puts hedging on top of the DCA. He forgets to mention the impact of the NASDAQ move he has been making the past couple of years on his return. Maybe he got some QQQ puts also half-yearly. You see he has morphed the definition of DCA into SP500 and hold methodology to suit his imaginary returns. Maybe it should be called the "BGR's DCA methodology embellished with active NASDAQ investing and puts hedging". He should write a book on his new passive DCA investing methodology for the average investor.

I think we should be kind to him and let him go as he has asked us and not further delve into his return calculations and assumptions.
