COHU chart looking ugly, like many others.

stockcharts.com[h,a]waclyyay[pb50!b200][vc60][iLp14,3,3!Lg]&pref=G

50dMA crossed over the 200 on the weekly, and looks to be building an ugly head & shoulders. I wouldn't put much stock in the H&S, as I tend to see them everywhere. What does it measure to, something like 6? That couldn't happen, right?

>>I keep telling myself "you have stocks of quality companies and they'll come back. You wouldn't sell your house and move just because the price drops?" It helps a little.>>

This sounds like trouble. I don't mean to be flip, but perhaps you should be asking this question: If your neighborhood went completely to $hit and your property value plummeted and looked like it might go to zero, would you look for a more reasonably valued piece of property in another neighborhood/town/state/country/etc or reconsider your decision to buy property.

That being said, I'm starting to look for some property. AMAT's PE is "down" to 194; I'll be looking in a different neighborhood.

regards,
ham

Hi G,

I can't believe you said that - that's exactly what I think also.

I've never considered moving out of my house - just because market value swings.

Still in the emotions of the market - people always sell into a mass pivot point.

I've got a margin and that bothers me.I've held back cash reserves - guess I'll have to use them and get what I call bullet proof.gulp

Looking at Cohu on a weekly chart:

siliconinvestor.com

Looks like stoch are just about ready to call it a bottom - course that doesn't mean price will- good support @ 16.40 yesterday.

Most comforting that ADX looks to have shot it's wad as well.

Now to get +DI over -DI

Maybe earnings will do the trick.
