hi Ibexx, hope you haven't developed a blind spot for "pros. They lost more money than individuals....sometimes, like recently. not surprising. especially the ones managing billions and billions. huge impact costs to their trades and of course they can't enter illiquid issues. huge swaths of the market are out of bounds. add to that the need to liquidate as soon as fundholders fold, and you always have to sell into weakness or buy into strength. a recipe for persistent underperformance imo. It's a mistake that I let Fidelity manage my IRA accounts. i am surprised you do that. i would take index funds over Fido any day of the week.
