That's probably what it is, late arrivals, along with fidgety placees [like the DSer offering 37-cent ngt?] ... i wonder how many of the former are new to the sector and will go away filled with resentment, never play it again, and miss entirely the wondrous symmetry of its wavey dance
It's not even August yet, a bit premature to call for mid-summer turns perhaps, about two to three more weeks from now would be more normal historically, if memory serves ..... still, could happen, everything gets anticipated more and more they say .... just after London open tomorrow the moon will be officially full [09h07 GMT] .... if you follow that sort of thing -g-
Close enough for the juniors i'm watching, they're cheap ... in most cases i'm just replacing what i've let go previously anyway
'Heard mention of recovering some cash from gold pour late yr or early' - is there a chance of the bulk sample producing enough to cover direct costs, maybe paying off a bit of equipment as well? ... it's been so long since i asked directly about this, and there were conflicting opinions on it ... for sure it would not be a significant cash flow, its main value lies in demonstrating the potential of Mulatos, but with the right contractor and the right manager, and a little luck, it sure could demonstrate that well, couldn't it
bml.v - 'thin trader' - yes ... i don't mind a few of these .... take a look at Cadre csl.v sometime, it hardly ever trades, for four years now i pick up a few in the first week of December or so, sell about two thirds at triple the price or better in late winter or early spring, it works fine ..... never held 30k of it yet, likely never will ... unless - you never know - they actually get their project rolling [Venezuela, harsh political risk] ... so long periods of thin trading is not by itself a problem .... Barker is several orders higher in prospects of course, active exploration in an historic area, and BC is opening up .... we had its long form prospectus from sedar loaded on a friend's computer [can't load it here, massive file, 4000k+], full of detail, very informative, and i came away warm to the idea
ckg.v - i sold my fgx on the takeout pop, twelve loonies and change -g- ... not too brilliant ... forget what i did with the money, but it likely didn't perform like the near-double on Glamis .... those are good points about RR's caution and glacial speed and spotty IR, true enough, but i think it will enjoy in the near term a bit of a cachet, maybe a little run to well over two loonies, i plan to sell around half to cut the acb to around one loonie, then sit on it and watch for the next trading opportunity ... if the run doesn't come to pass, well then i'll just sit on it all, the value is there backing it up, no problem ... i kept the position to moderate size for this contingency
russ - natural gas? - not quite yet i hear ... an offline friend was just explaining a few days ago why he was waiting, sounded like mid-August he would look at it again, much the same as i felt about the golds .... don't know why, and of course things may have changed or he could be wrong ... but biotech?! - ooo, where is my garlic rosary -ggg- .... can't pretend to know anything about it though, been on the track of golds for so long now, happy with it, sure the major leg is yet to come and come soon ... the weak spike in gold the other day, then the phoney dump today, they just reinforce the conviction ... we shall see .... cheers |
