Turns out its just a Nasdaq computer glitch. The last 22 minutes of trading was appended to the close. Bad data. It seemed a little too weird to be true. Consider that all the trades that follow that 3 dollar uptick are along the same price regime, it doesn't make sense that its real because MSFT has about a hundred different market makers, if it was just a bad trade, the other trades would still have gone off at the pre-existing B/A because they'd have gone through different MMs.
