Does photoshop support SSE2 yet?

what a graphic artist wants to know and cares about is when he buys a machine off the shelf and the LATEST photoshop off the shelf....

which one will get his work done quicker?

if Photoshop didn't have the LATEST code for one instruction set or another, it isn't the graphic artists fault...

he just wants to buy photoshop and get his work done....

and by the way....the author picked up the LATEST Photoshop which was 7 for windows and does support SSE2 set for the pentium 4, since it has been included since Photoshop 6.0.1....

SSE2 is of course not nearly as fast as Altivec for similar reasons as to why a CISC chip is slower than a RISC chip.... but it is included....
