Hi Tom, nice to hear back from you......good luck on your triple q's play.....with all this volatility, patience usually can get you a profit, even if you start out in the red....anyway, no telling what these markets will do.....I have no clue....I guess I just believe that at 38 years of age, I have time on my side....and stock prices sliding to levels unseen since early to mid 90's...lots of economic problems...lots of world problems...lots of problems in corporate america.....but, I am buying the trip downward in the hopes of nice FUTURE returns....I have ni dellusions that this market will turn for the better anytime soon....but who knows...maybe in 5 or 10 years, I will be glad I am buying this decimated market....or maybe I'll be living on the street...either is a distinct possibility <ggg>.....stay happy and healthy...take care....Keith

Too big to fail.
In 1996 in-house rumor was that the Mht/Chemical/Chase
behemoth was really making more than 50% of profit from derivatives.
I can imagine what it is now.

The banks are lucky to get all the free money that the poor consumer is putting in 1% savings. Nothing like cheap money to keep you afloat!

The big guys (gov't. banks, houses, et al) are so tightly linked together that they are obligated to pull it out of the hat!
Everybody will take their share of the hit but the system must survive so they can play again another day.
