There are other factors, but I will reiterate a couple I have focused on recently:

1) The software sector has only begun to flush imo. MSFT has clearly cracked, but I think others like ORCL and QLGC are going to follow very soon.

2) Banks have more giving to do. My conservative target for BKX is still much further away: about -21% from yesterday's close. It would well overshoot that.

I also think retailers are likely not done in this leg.

I hate this. Things are so bearish I am tempted to be legging in long. I have been waiting for a low I like and I am resigned to wait some more.
